Tarihci ve egitimci Sarkis Sarraf Hovhannesyan (1740-1805), en onemli eseri olan Payitaht Istanbul'un Tarihcesi'ni 1800'de tamamlamisti. Yazmasi Ermeni Patrikhanesi'nde olan kitap 1967'de Ermenice yayimlandi ve bu baskidan Turkce'ye cevrildi. Hovhannesyan, Narlikapi'dan basliyarak Fenerbahce'ye kadar Istanbul'u bize gezdiriyor, payitahttaki semtler, camiler, kiliseler hakkinda degerli bilgiler veriyor. Anlattiklarindaki ilginc ayrintilar 18. yuzyil sonu Istanbul'unu ete kemige burunduruyor. Istanbul meraklilari ve arastirmacilar icin onemli bir belge. -- Arka kapak. |
